Yoga,opportunism,criticism and cynicism….

Many call it a delusion, many an illusion. But the Modi Government has dawned on one of the eternal opportunities to cure the world of its maladies. At times, when we live, doesn’t really portray a really exquisite site. Religious opportunism, unwanted quota-isation of the educational ladder throngs as an impediment for the advancement and evolution of a highly youthful nation. In such a position, stretching the hands and grooving your body is a better edible than flexing your muscles to show your might. The Rajpath in New Delhi was a cool observer to what many have already painted as the next big Guinness World Record. Well, Yoga makes your body bubble with joy, offering a plethora of opportunities to rejuvenate your body. Exercises have fructified the logic of “Serving the body is serving God” into a more realisable dream.

The initial yoga centric political onslaught on the bars of religious lines only showed the wrath of narrow-minded orbituary on our everyday life. While the Chinese were welcoming yoga and Ayurveda, we seemed to still harp on the  foreign traits of Vaastu and Fengshui. Not only was it a typical Indian mannerism to scoff at everything indigenous,it also proves the self denial which forces ex czars to seek treatment at Lisbon. The cause of concern lies at once at the role of the opposition in the country. The matter of constructive criticism has been lost in vain for quite a while and neither do I blame anyone but the politicians for that. In fact when you see the gradual transmigration of the land of consensus to that of confrontation, you will not see anyone but the Congress Party responsible for that.

Come to 1975. The year which only plagiarised the lack of tolerance of a so called party of swaraj and independence. In 1929, when the Lahore Congress under Nehru gave a call of purna swaraj, little would others have thought that the same party will proclaim the darkest hours of democracy. If you believe Subramanian Swamy,(the ex Janata Party chief and now a BJP leader) the Cambridge University doesn’t have a record of a certain Rahul Gandhi’s thesis. Hopefully, Jitender Singh Tomar did not buy him a degree from Cambridge-a P.H.D degree if I may add. Even in 2015,when so many countries excluding our fidgety rival is practising yoga, the opposition including the Congress hyper-enthusiasts seems to have a problem. Lalu Yadav’s tweet pic showed a photo of Pandit Nehru and Modi practising yoga with contrasting assignments-something the convicted out on bail RJD leader branded as originality vs plagiarism.

At a moment of national pride, reservations about the present Government is understandable. The Government according to me has failed to typically control the agro crisis and its impact.Fringe elements have been given far more autonomy, than what their anatomy deserves. But to overnight, see everything black even beneath the ultraviolet rays is somewhat farcical. The opposition is there to check the Government, not to break the national pride.Cynicism it is said was one of the major reasons for Amitabh Bachchan’s downfall in the mid 80’s. The superstar that the man was could not prevent his cynic mindset from taking the highway.Big B will point at every film of his saying”Yeh film meri toh nahin chalegi” The moral justification or ethical compensation can never be awarded to the ruling coterie. But when the rulers fight themselves, the message a country is trying to send falls into the hollowness of casualties.

Even the rather confrontationist AAP supremo joined the national cadre of politicians in supervising the innate connection of soul and body. Siddaramaiah applauded the Modi Government gesture. The Karnataka Government will soon accomadate yoga in the educational schedule. However Tarun Gogoi and Oomen Chandy evaded a direct consensus.Even Pythagoras deserves a bit of exercise. E=mc2 of Einstein will not assault Robert Vadra,if RaGa exercises his mind a bit. At the end of the day,it’s the cerebrum which Rahul needs to concentrate on after throwing  husky fire balls at the Modi Government regarding the Food Park in Amethi. Perhaps, yoga can modify his fitness to take on Harsimrat Kaur Badal on the issue on the floor of Parliament. What at this juncture,we require is positive and sensible criticism, not opportunistic, downright, Frankenstein surrogate. Politics should be debated, but lets life be celebrated. Yogi Adityanath ji-yoga can also perform Mentos’ job-Zubaan pe rakhe Laagam……. You may try it once also. Good for your health!

And a last bit anecdote. Muslims and christians are being diverted from the course by somebody. Let’s not break, when actually we can make…..

The beard is burning-Naqvi at his hillarious best…….

Well politicians often make lesser sense than Rakahi Sawant.Yesterday,AAJ TAK Manthan was party to one such peculiar instances. The so called Muslim face of the BJP Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi showed how the mentality of this Government was no better than Saif Ali Khan’s Humshakals. While,a mud slinging match was taking its toll between Naqvi and Owaisi senior, moderated by a seldom irritated Rajdeep Sardesai,a bombshell awaited a mixed audience.

It is said that once the ultra nationalist, anti Muslim progeny MS Golwalkar took up the issue of Hindutva and beef with Verghese Kurien, the “Milkman of India”. The Sarsanghchalak said to Kurien,”you know something……all this hubble and bubble surrounding beef ban is nothing but just a game of politics.” Well, well, well I cannot authenticate the statement nor can I virtually declare the mood of jest and humour which may have led to the remark.

But if this was the real mentality of a RSS stalwart, the great sacrifice of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Shyama Prasad Mookherjee may be nothing for the BJP,but a mere lip service to vote bank politics. The agitation against cow slaughter in the 1960’s by the Jan Sangh had few buyers and still lesser rational advocates.even the JanSangh leader, who is today the Bharat Ratna not only distanced himself from the entire issue, but he also trivialized the Right wingers for their short sightedness,

The fringe elements have enjoyed cosy atmosphere in the last 365 days.More than that, the sense of denial coming from the Home Minister of this country was not only expected, but to some extent unacceptable.Turning a blind eye to the evils does not make the matter any less docile. An angry Naqvi thundered that if a person cannot survive without beef, he is most welcome to go to Pakistan. It seems that the BJP has some kind of nostalgia for the so called Land Of the Pure.

Giriraj Singh, whose physique can be matched with a Bollywoodi villain, dared the people who don’t want Modi as PM to go to Pakistan. The Prime Minister called a couple of politicians agents of Pakistan including a minister of the Union Government who came from Kerala. The statement that the half pant Minister of Parliamentary Affairs made is nothing but a self mockery of himself. The caviet being that Modi should be ready to meet a hibernated Congress breathing new life.

Perhaps,Naqvi is eyeing for the cabinet berth which he hopes will diffuse to him in the times to come. Najma Heptullah, already is nearing the expiry date required to be a Modi confidant in his cabinet. The ferocity with which Naqvi fired his arsenals, seems to be a very well crafted endeavour to climb up the peeking order of the RSS and the Sangh Parivaar. The Tamasha that this Government has shown will give a hard fight to Rahul Gandhi’s ordinance machismo. The beard is burning. Naqviji,Contact the local RSS cadre from UP.And don’t forget to invite me to your Home Return-sorry! Ghar Wapsi!

Vote and veto-the inner meaning of a democracy

Public participation and political equality-these were the two determinants of a participatory democracy authored by the forefathers. But the Constituent Assembly which turned the tide of firangiraaj itself was nothing less than a semi autocratic body. The Assembly which was the custodian for the making and unmaking of the country’s future was over dominated by the law prescriptioners.

Indians generally express angst against two things nowadays-on the exposure of rigid mentality in India’s Daughter and on the character of lawyers.Well, till the time Kapil Sibal fight cases for Mamata, you can’t count them as unjustified.14% of the population voted in electing the members of the supreme constitution making body.

Unfortunately,it were the members of Nehru’s party who advocated for a Constituent Assembly based on universal adult franchise. The people who nowadays blame Narendrabhai for not keeping the promise of getting black money back must also turn their heads a bit.

So the fate of a democracy was upheld by a minority coterie of representatives led by the future head of state,Rajendra Prasad. These people including Babasaheb Ambedkar could not really claim the confidence of the people. The cause of democracy championed now by the party of the Emergency seems to be like Yo Yo Honey Singh advocating for making ghazals compulsory in Sunny Leone songs.

The democracy we live in today also benefits little to the masses who land in long lines for the sake of solving their cases.Sajid Khan may make four more sequels of Humshakals, but the matter of Singur will still hang at the footnotes of law.Kishoreda may date a thousand more girls, but still sakshi maharaj will stay a bachelor!

What Sanjay Raut said today is offensive not from the view of liberals, but from the outlook of justice.Vetoing the mechanism of popular sovereignty has always been the order of the day. So why deny the rights of a paarticular religiious community? For the sake of uniform code lets commence a Tsarist rule.As Bal Thackeray once said, people only matter before elections, not after. So lets convert this country of Bose,Nehru and Gandhi to that of Hitlerian dictatorship!

Jay Maharashtra!
